Adam Age 26

Right from an early age I had a poor relationship to food. Being given food as a child as a reward for good behaviour led to my daily consumption of chocolate bars, cookies, chips, pop, cereal and all the fast food I could get my hands on. As a teenager I was diagnosed with ADHD which I truly believe was linked to the chocolate bar I had in one hand and the pop I had in the other. My poor relationship to food continued as I put myself through university, I was the manager of a pizza chain which gave me unlimited access to as much pizza as I wanted to eat, and I took full advantage of that. After university I worked in operations for a successful small business in Toronto where I quickly became stressed and continued to eat fast food on a regular basis. Before long I began to experience depression, anxiety attacks, food allergies and asthma. By the time I was 26 years old, I was pre-diabetic, 30 pounds overweight and on medication to treat my condition. The day I went to my doctor and was told I had high cholesterol was the day that everything changed for me. I took a good look around and noticed that many of my friends and family were on similar unhealthy paths. That was when I took a good hard look at myself and decided that I didn't want to live off medication and wanted to gain back control over my own health.

I made the decision to move to British Columbia, Canada and connect to my true potential. This involved learning all that I could about food as well as developing a regular routine of exercise. It didn't take long before I felt the healthy impact of eating foods that I now call Power of Food Ingredients which are nuts, seeds, grains, legumes, fruits and vegetables. At first I was amazed at how great I felt when adding these natural foods into my daily routine. I began to realized that I didn't need to pop a daily dose of medication and through eating foods that have not been broken down, altered or transformed in any way, I could gain back control over my own health. I soon found myself teaching friends and family all that I had discovered. People began to hear about my story and how I was able to help others with easy attainable steps for postive change and before long I was being asked to share my knowledge to a larger audience.

I spent several years developing ways to bring the Power of Food to a bigger audience and the Power of Food.com is the result of my dedication to bringing my message to you. All of my Power of Food services and products have been developed in order for it to be easy to discover a healthier you”. I am happy you are here and look forward to having you as part of the Power of Food Community.
