Adam's Story

My name is Adam Hart. I am a nutritional coach, whole foods chef, speaker and author. I have been a nutritional researcher for 10 years, studying the ideal foods for attaining optimal health. Along the way I discovered a 3 step system to eating for maximum nutrition without any restrictions to your diet or lifestyle. This 3 step system is now being shared with thousands of others looking to regain control of their own health with ease.

This is my story.

Right from an early age I had a poor relationship to food. Being given food as a child as a reward for good behavior led me to daily consumption of chocolate bars, cookies, chips, pop, cereal and all the fast food I could eat.

As a teenager I was diagnosed with ADHD. I truly believe my ADHD was linked to the daily chocolate bar I had in one hand and the pop I had in the other.

My poor relationship to food continued as I put myself through university. I managed a pizza chain to help pay my way through school. This gave me unlimited access to as much pizza as I wanted to eat, which , no surprise, led me to put on a lot of weight. I topped out 40 pound heavier than I am today.

After graduating university with a degree in sociology and a diploma in International Business management, I worked in operations for a successful small business in Toronto. It was during this time that I began to experience what I call extreme stress. My stress led me to a state of depression where I also suffered from anxiety attacks, food allergies and asthma.

By the time I was 26 years old I was pre-diabetic, 40 pounds overweight and on medication to treat my condition.

And then one day I went to my doctor and he told me that I had high cholesterol. Being told I had to live on medication for the rest of my life was like a big slap in the face. I looked around and saw that most of my friends and family were on similar unhealthy paths. That was when everything changed and I decided to take control over my own health.

I made the decision to move to British Columbia, Canada. Having discovered the mountains I soon found myself striving to become a mountain guide. My love for the mountains and in particular, rock climbing and alpine climbing, led me to becoming a nutritional researcher in order to enhance my performance in the mountains. It didn’t take long before I began to excel at my outdoor pursuits while at the same time reversing my pre-diabetic state, losing over 30 pounds and discovering how to live from a place of joy and happiness.

I felt the healthy impact of eating whole, plant based foods right away and I soon found myself wanting to share my amazing discoveries with others.

That was when I took all my years as a nutritional researcher and became a nutritional coach. I also began taking extensive speaker training in order to become a professional speaker. At the same time I began enrolling in several coaching courses in order to enhance my ability to make it easy for my clients to experience all their desired goals. You could be struggling with your weight or suffering from the mid afternoon crashes, it all starts with the food you eat, and I wanted to be sure I could share with others an easy system to begin looking good and feeling fantastic. My coach training provided me with the tools to make this happen.

I spent several years developing ways to bring the Power of Food to a bigger audience and http://www.PowerofFood.com is the result of my dedication to bringing my message to you.
