Energy Food for High Performance

I just wanted to share with you a few pictures from a recent trip I took with my wife Suzie to the Bugaboos, close to Golden B.C (my old home base).

 

 

The Bugaboos are a magical place with huge granite spires all hosting several climbing routes to reach the summit peaks. You will notice in my hand there are two pieces of my power crackers. The mountain in the distance is called Pigeon Spire and Suzie and I spent 8 hours climbing to the top and back. All we took with us for fuel were these two crackers each.  

 

 

Made from only two ingredients (post your request for them and I will let you know what they are) these two small pieces of pure power were all we need to sustain our energy for the entire day.

 

Having abundant energy whether playing in the mountains or just trying to stay awake throughout your day does not have to be a daunting task.

 

 

 

Power Crackers

You have me curious -what are those two magical ingredients in your Power Crackers? :)

They are Whole Oat Groats

They are Whole Oat Groats and Dates

I just soak the whole oat groats and dates overnight in two separate bowls and then blend them together in the morning. Rinse the whole oat groats first and keep the water from the dates for the mix. Once blended together,  I spread it out over a dehydrator tray and dehydrate for 24 hours. After that I have awesome power snacks that last a very long time.

Tones of energy in these guys.
