Heart Healthy Lentil Soup

Your heart pumps approximately 1,900 gallons of blood every 24 hours. Wouldn’t it be nice if that blood flowed nice a smooth? You bet it would. That is why I want you to try my “Heart Healthy Lentil Soup”. This soup is a great way to ensure your heart gets a healthy does of essential nutrients to enhance its ability to do its job. I love that this soup is not only a healthy boost, but it also has a creamy, savory taste that will keep you coming back for more.

Ingredients

1 cup lentils
3 cups water
4 tblsp rosemary diced
1 onion diced
4 cloves garlic diced
pinch of sea salt
pinch ground black pepper

Place all ingredients into a medium sauce pan and bring to a boil. Once boiling, cover and reduce to simmer for 30 minutes. Feel free to use a hand blender to pure the soup into a smoother texture. This is a great soup on a cold day top help warm your bones.
